This work is inspired by a RB Challenge to submit a work featuring a CORNER, any corner. So, I thought, corner-corner, what is a relevant corner? Then this crazy idea, as covered by my title came to me. An inspiration regarding the future. Humanity has pretty much already turned this corner, forty years of reading eco/environmental literature makes it quite obvious the path we’ve chosen, and what a “CORNER” image to attempt to depict.
Every aspect of the design ended up having multiple meanings and symbolism. By the time I was getting close to finishing it, IT scared the willies out of me. [[and now in 2014 the situation has likely crossed the point of no return… an amazing species, we!]]
Need I add it’s experimental. Further it was a late into the night adventure… and even after going to bed kept sleep away.
It’s a total Photo-shop Elements production, mostly just drawing with the pen tool.

A persona who has apparently lived a relatively long, varied and eclectic life. My Red Bubble portfolios reflect my seeming persona… and IF there’s any veracity to these reflections then some sense of HUMOUR and enjoyment should be PRESENT!
‘Ola!’ ;~}}}

    VIEW LARGER to see the gory details….

  • and the details may be small and sketchy… the stick figures trying to escape or find refuge… all the different colored pathways toward hopeless salvation… and then the final leap… into a deep empty pool… OUCH!
    NOW, have a nice day! ;-))) lol

    I guess this is where that train is taking you and Walt to … scary …. ;o)

  • NO Darlin… this is the train humanity is on… and in total denial about. The train Walt and I are waiting for takes us away from the insanity before ‘they’ try to assign seats on the ecological disaster super high speed now you see it now you don’t… see anything TRAIN. Nature will load Walt and I on our end game train before the one in my ‘art work’ pulls in at the station…. lol

    I was trying to lighten the atmosphere with my joke about you and Walt. Walt is constantly telling me I am about to die. As a Christian, death is not something we should fear, but equally it should not become an obsession. Worrying about death doesn’t make the rest of our days happy does it :) I agree with you that we have turned a corner. I also find it ironic that this winter we have had the worst winter since people first started talking about “global warming”. I like your drawing by the way … my wicked sense of humour prompts me to ask how many willies you actually had before they were scared out of you :) Most men just have one.

  • I guess the one’s scared out of me were willy-nillies… and when yer as silly as I am you have an over abundance of those… so a little scare right now can help lighten me load…
    As to your extra cold winter… it’s why the science guys are using the term ‘climate change’… we’ve had so much winter rain that some off the wall locals talk about our desert becoming a tropical rain forest… any way ya shake it, change can sure rattle the cage of man!
