Feature in “An Outcast Somewhere” group March 2010
Featured in “Pen and Ink Corner” group 11/18/13

During the Nov. 2000 trip to New york City the three of us, (Diane, her dad and me) stayed out in Scarsdale at her Uncle Tony’s house. Almost everyday Diane and would walk down to the train station and take a train into Grand Central Station. Then we’d embark on whatever adventure for the day. These have been the subjects for all the pen and ink sketches I’ve been loading to RB with the same blue background color.
I’ve already loaded some faces from train rides… this sketch shows more of the train interior as well as the lady who talked non stop for the whole ride. I experimented putting a small inset of part of a sketch I made of the Scarsdale station in the upper left corner.
I’ve also spent all day on the bubble and now at this late hour I’ve earned the night crawler award again. This drawing, like the others is drawn in my Canson sketchbook.

IF you CLICK on the 1rst TAG below it’ll take you to a collection of James’ best art from his 3 Red Bubble sites!

A persona who has apparently lived a relatively long, varied and eclectic life. My Red Bubble portfolios reflect my seeming persona… and IF there’s any veracity to these reflections then some sense of HUMOUR and enjoyment should be PRESENT!

    love this
    so evocative
my memory is taken to a flight home from corfu when the lady next tome talked all the flight long
in the que at the terminal a man said’ i was sitting right behind you. you wereso patient with her’
well – she needed to talk and it was no strain to listen as he expected no comment…

  • traveling allows for so many growth opportunities… and yakity yakker’s are a risk… course I don’t have trouble with them types because it starts up my my strange facial ticks… it’s them who are usually tryin get their seat moved… but as soon as quiet my tick seems to calm down… ya know it’s way too late for me… that was just silly…;-)))))))) thanks for stopping by!!!

    I like it James.

  • Thanks… of course this drawing pre-dates my time in Thailand… where the Thai’s are always chitter-chattering away with each other… but there, because I don’t know the language and don’t know whats specifically being said… it sounds more like background music, than haranguing complaining(like this lady on the train)!!!

Congratulations! Your work has been featured in “An Outcast somewhere ….”

Your work was chosen because it was of a very high quality and it captured exactly the sort of art we are looking for in this group.

Please keep up the great work and we hope you continue to add more of your excellent work to this group.

  • As a fairly new member of the group I’m especially pleased with this feature, thank you.
