Sketching folks on the subway is harder than on the morning train into Grand Central. The subway moves around more, sways and bumps and grinds… so to speak. I like the way it kind of foreshortened my images of those across from me. Oh yes, subway riders come and go and move around more than train patrons.
Note the headline in the newspaper, “BUSH WHACKED”, it was timely to the historical date, Nov. 18, 2000 when the Bush camp was fighting the Gore camp for the recounts in Florida to determine which would be president. Of course in hindsight and ten years later one could interpret the headline to allude to what happened to the country under Bush’s presidency. ; – ))
This was drawn in my Canson sketchbook. AND again I’m up way late loading these to the bubble.
