In Arizona the best gardening time is the so-called winter months. The blazing summers can burn out most vegetables and flowers, but the Okra can thrive and produce in the heat, as long as it gets water. I’ve had great success with Okra, loving its yellow flowers with magenta centers and resulting plentiful fruit. I’ve learned the art of including this flavorful Okra in many a recipe.
