The title refers to the concept of our connections to the ultimate source… though they may seem convoluted and twisted around… we are all connected!!
The original is a 36″ × 48″ acrylic painting, As in many of my paintings I use Metallic and interference paints that alter of show up differently depending on the viewers angle of view and the lighting. Since photography can’t interpret this kind of dynamic the camera version of this work wasn’t to my satisfaction… so I started to use the image to experiment with Photo-shop elements. I watched as the colors jumped all the way through the roof… the people upstairs were not happy, particularly given the late hour.
So here is a version of this work that I was on when the neighbor’s call to the color cops stopped my playing around.

A persona who has apparently lived a relatively long, varied and eclectic life. My Red Bubble portfolios reflect my seeming persona… and IF there’s any veracity to these reflections then some sense of HUMOUR and enjoyment should be PRESENT!

    Woooooooooooooooooohooooooo!!!!!! this is phenomenal!

  • Oooooooooooooo, I’ve got a few more of these for you… literally there’s a second version. I’ll post it soon.
    Thanks, you’re such an inspiration.

    Another beauty

  • Since I loaded this I’ve become more proficient in Photoshop, where I adjusted the colors in this version of the painting.
I’m making the partner painting to this into a tee design… it’s one of my hundreds of ‘works in progress’ on my computer. The delays are paying off in my increased skills, so I hope this eventual finished tee will be spectacular… watch for it… ;-))))))

    Mind-boggling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I see the vague similarities between this and my tubular explosion of 1982. Having done that drawing, I know what it entails and I am amazed by the patience and accuracy you display in this painting. You’d be great at doing Celtic Knotwork designs too, especially if you did them three-dimensional like this one. Respect Bro !! :)

  • I don’t think I mention in description, but I did a pair of 3′ × 4′ paintings on this theme at the same time… the other, which I’m adjusting to a tee design (one of my current hundreds of ‘works in progress’ right now in Photoshop), has trumpet ends to the tubes with light shining out from them.
I was able to hang them together on a large dining room wall we had… and they were dynamite… but no one paid any attention to what they were eating! hahahha
    ;-)))
thanks for your knowledge based compliments… it often takes one (good artist) to know one!

Try putting this painting behind your wall telephone, with the cord dangling down in front of it to confuse people :)

  • I’ve surmised the humor disease is contagious… I hate ta tell ya… BUT

Some people do not like humo*u*r (sorry about the “u” but I am English) and I have been chastised for mine a few times :)

  • I had a wonderful business partner once, contractually we were equals but his roll was to supply the money. So I’d have to get his approval for anything significant.
I’d ply my case with passion and precision for whatever the subject was (this time). He’d listen… either agree… or if it wasn’t relevant to him, he’d start the turn away back to his computer screen, stop look back right into my eye’s and say; “Get Over IT!” I soon learned that that was that… it was over… and in hindsight he was usually right… but he didn’t waste anymore time on the wrong subjects.
I’ve used that simple phrase to some who’ve objected to my humour… “Get over IT!”… then I look back with a hearty laugh as I’m ‘walkin out the door’ . Humour isn’t funny if it’s meant to hurt or criticize… that kind is spelled ‘humor’! hahahaha… just keep laughing… best stomach exercise there is… I’m fit!
    ; – )))
oh, by the way your “but I’m English” was sweet laugh line for me.

You Americans have more nuclear power than us … but we have the “u”. We have colour, flavour, savour, neighbour – an endless supply in fact. You can’t (I hope) nuke us, but we can bombard you with "u"s to our hearts’ content :) Ciao for now :)
