Acrylic painting that explores my fascination with all things Buddhist and the inherent presence of the Buddha spirit in all of life. OR also called “Laughing Buddha FALLS!” (slips on the rocks? ;-)))

A persona who has apparently lived a relatively long, varied and eclectic life. My Red Bubble portfolios reflect my seeming persona… and IF there’s any veracity to these reflections then some sense of HUMOUR and enjoyment should be PRESENT!

sorry for such a pale comment ‘i can feel it’, I make myself so upset sometimes with the things i say.
apt name ’ laughing buddha falls’ i expected to see buddha tripping over a plank of wood or something. that’s something everyone could laugh at.

  • and laughter is said to the primary instrument of heavenly music…
Please don’t apologize for a short comment, just see that I got two for one this way… and that’s way GOOD! I won’t apologize for not seeing this comment… or even know how long ago you left it… because I know in truth there is only perfect timing… like when Buddha does slip and fall into the falls… taking his robe from his body and washing it on the rocks… while his happy pudgy body gets scrubbed, too…hahahahahee ;-)))

i too have read much about eastern spirtual thought, all 84 papers of tao-too-but i was brough up in a christian home, or one thath tried to be,but i stood back and took a real look at the meaning of christ-from his words, that just about no one seems not to quote but not live by-so i became a self soul-who lives the golden rule best i can—my favotie saying in the whole bible is=don,t ber like the hipocritcs standing on corners- praising the lord- go hom,e go into you prayer closet and prise me inhumble aloneness, and i will reward you openly- its not quite right in words, but yolu get the jest?still i read all good thoughts of the sages

  • I get the ‘jest’ and the ‘gist’… because I know you’re close to sainthood and just putting on all these lovely friendly airs so we ’ll feel comfee around you… Buddhawalt…

the budah saids when a gift is given,it is not a gift, till you except it- there fore buddah, is right, i except this kind gift with hope that it is close to truth rather then the other place of misty, hopes, may the sun always shine on your,ass- perationzones.pax and wisdom, fall upon you master james, and i might add-the checks in the mail

  • you’re just so exceptional at being acceptable… which is the fine art of accepting!
Now, did I get you right back there a few messages ago… do you propose marriage to me? IF I’m acceptable and accept should we get Red Bubble to throw the proverbial virtual bash of all bashes?
;-)))))))))))) We’re being very funny monkeys!!!
and I’m holding my breath til the check arrives!

I agree with my old pal Walt regarding those hypocrites on street corners. I suppose a modern saying that reflects that would be, “Self-praise is no recommendation”. We should all practice humility … here goes … my drawings and paintings are all crap … hey … what d’ya mean you agree with me :)

“May the sun always shine on your ass” – now that’s a bum remark :) Oh – I forgot to check if “bum” means the name in USA … over here it’s your sit-upon … you call tramps and hobos bums though, don’t you.

Anyway … this is a good painting … bet you thought I’d never get round to praising it :)

  • OH, as I just pointed out in my LONG B-mail… there’s a lot of my artsy stuff you’ve yet to stumble through…. another great Americanizm is upon parting send the final words…“Oh, and good luck!”
    as if you need luck…hahahaha
