Located in Lassen County, California and originally owned by Captain William Weatherlow, the Susanville Ranch was bought by William Long in 1862 where it remained in the family until 1919. The new owners established a dairy in 1926 and leased it to the O’Kellys who operated it under the name of the Lassen Dairy until the 1930’s. It is now a park and is a wonderful place to walk. This old car seems to stand guard and is a reminder of past days.

Old cars tell interesting stories. Just let your imagination take over, though your detailed history of the farm sure puts some perspective on it. Great photo!

  • Thank you Nancy. I will keep my ears and imagination open to hear any stories this old car might tell.
