Located in Lassen County, California and originally owned by Captain William Weatherlow, the Susanville Ranch was bought by William Long in 1862 where it remained in the family until 1919. The new owners established a dairy in 1926 and leased it to the O’Kellys who operated it under the name of the Lassen Dairy until the 1930’s. It is now a park and is a wonderful place to walk.

This old piece of equipment is one of only a few reminders of that past time.

Great composition. I wonder what this was used for? This would be great for Time Worn

  • Thank you Sheryl. I sort of think it might have been used for hay but I am not sure. Thank you for the invite. I will submit it.
