Artist's Description

A skillful helicopter pilot flies low over Lake Agnes between the mountain walls through heavy fog and snowfall. The pilot was coming in for a landing at the lake Agnes Tea House(see Golden Bullseye image below). Lake Agnes is a hanging glacial lake that sits above it’s famous sister…Lake Louise. The waters from Lake Agnes drain into Lake Louise.
Note that the Devil’s Thumb can be seen in the background upper center left….it is a great hike to get to the top of ’Devil’s Thumb’ that takes you high enough to give a panoramic view of the mountain valley below which includes Lake Louise, the trail ‘Plain of the Six Glaciers", Mt. Victoria and the Victoria Glacier and numerous other mountains and glaciers (My ’headshot’ is a view from devil’s thumb). Mountain Goats and the occaisonal Grizzly Bear can be seen.
