Aloha,
I’ve lived in the Hawaiian Islands for the past twenty eight years with my wife Yuko.
Some time ago we became concerned about the uncertain future of many spices of plants, and animals found here. Twenty percent of the known plant, and animal spices found on the Islands are listed as endangered. Many of them may disappear in the decades to come, and who knows how many of them that haven’t even been described by science yet.
Many of the photographs that will be posted are of rare or endangered endemic spices found here in Hawaii. We hope you find all the photographs informative and pleasing to the eye.
