Simple but a beautiful strong image… Brilliant mono conversion.

superb conversion!very good capture, the sunrays in the background add an apocalyptic mood that i like so much!very good work James.
Thanks for the fave Davide, pleased you like this :)
A very dramatic and atmospheric image. I particularly like the ‘circular’ composition – the ‘main’ ear of barley in the foreground leads your eye to the tree, then on to the cloud, down the sunrays and back to the barley and off you go again. My wife is a picture desk researcher and she says that this kind of ‘infinitely recursive’ circular composition is the most powerful.
Thanks Alan, I suppose after a while you don’t think too much about composition – it just seems ‘right’ from a certain viewpoint :)
Fabulous shot James, and superb b&w tones.
Thanks Craig :)
Lovely shot James.
Thanks gundog :)
Lovely black and white James. That foreground ‘ear’ does it for me :)
Thanks Jim, just about managed to keep that in focus with a slight breeze blowing ;)
