Abstract shot of tidal marks left in the sand at Newcastle beach, County Down, Northern Ireland. Illuminated by a low December morning sun. Quite windy again and both me and the tripod were slowly sinking!

Beautiful! I sometimes look at the sand but so far nothing has stood out. This one is a definate stand out.
    Davo

  • Thanks for the favourite Davo. I like to wander around at low tide searching for this type of thing. Up to half an hour after sunrise or before sunset is best. Keep looking!

Lovely abstract work. Beautiful light. Hope you got the sand out of your shoes and tripod!

  • Hi Kasia, thank you. Was wearing wellington boots so no problems with footwear. The tripod is another matter!

  • And hold infinity in the palm of your hand….. They say there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand in all Earth’s beaches! The mind boggles doesn’t it? Thanks Peter :o)
