Bangor seafront in County Down, Northern Ireland on a very stormy morning – getting a lot of those lately. Seemed to work best in black and white but feel free to tell me otherwise as I’m not very good at it!

  • Thanks D&R. I really am clueless at B+W – just fiddled about in Photoshop and this came out ;o)

Love the mood and turbulence in this shot James, nice bw tones also :)

  • Thanks Simone – me and the cam got a battering from the wind and spray – I hoped to convey some of that in the image. BW seemed to suit best :o)

    Peter.

  • Thank you Peter – quite a morning and the spray got everywhere. I tried shooting some video too but gave up!

I viewed this larger and was totally taken back w/ all the dramatic detail seen throughout the image. Excellent work!

  • Thank you – even the large image doesn’t really do it justice. But I suppose RB is cautious of showing more detailed images. Glad you like this :o)

great shot James you have done well here ,seeing as you normally do colour. have you tried shooting in b:w in camera in raw then fiddling .Must have been hard keepinf everything dry and stable at this point on the road , used to have a flat just round the corner so know just how bad it gets there , so again well done great job.

  • Thank you – I much prefer colour but this just didn’t work out so I converted it. It was rough ok, the parked cars were getting soaked by waves and spray. I only went to Bangor that day as an afterthought but glad I did! Thanks for the recent favs btw :o)
