Burnt Snowgums - Falls Creek - Victoria
Taken some years after the major fires through the victorian alps in 2003 dead and decaying snowgums like this can still be seen in all directions from the tops of most peaks. The fire burned so hot that in many areas these slow growing gums have not started to recover at all.
I had a an image in mind like this before I went up to the Hight Country on this trip with a big storm and the white gums, I got my wish!
