I took this image of Chichester Cathedral,Sussex, England, on the night of 26/27th of January 2012, between midnight , and 0330. It comprises of 345 thirty second exposures at f3.5, and ISO 100, and then stacked them all using startrail software. Unfortunately as the temperature dropped to below zero some evidence of freezing on the lens appears, even though at one stage I was wiping the lens between each exposure, it was still gathering a frost. I must find a way to prevent this from happening.
Bet it took a lot of patience for this nice work, Jake!
Thank you for the comment , and feature Robert most appreciated. I have developed somewhat of a fascination with startrails, the time seems to fly past, watching the movement which normally one would not notice, and then the expectation of what it will look like, walking home , and wondering ,did I set up correctly, did the camera move, and then the result sometimes quite good, and other quite poor, but always fascinating.
