Rosie has a Baddie!

Rosie has a Baddie!

Last Saturday I noticed a sore spot on a very “personal area” of Rosie.
Jane immediately phoned the Vet to make an appointment and they were great in that they could see her straight away.

On arrival at the Vets, we were faced with a very busy waiting room, (one rather old Springer, one huge Labrador, two Greyhounds and two small Kittens!).

But all the animals including Rosie just politely sniffed each other and settled down for what ended up as a long wait.

Rosie was very good whilst being examined, (a rather uncomfortable experience it seemed), and was rewarded by some treats from the nice lady Veterinarian who apologized for all the probing etc!

So now Rosie is on some painkillers and a course of antibiotics. She doesn’t seem to mind the lampshade at all and seems to be coping well.
I can’t say the same though when she charges around the house and the back of your legs get “lampshaded”- ouch!).

She is a lot happier than the pic suggests as she was concentrating on a dog treat that I was holding in my hand at the time!.

We are monitoring her closely and will let you know how she progresses.

Rosie has a Baddie! belongs to the following groups:

Awwww. Woofydog has ended up in the plastic collar three times! She sends big hugs to Rosie!! Funniest thing was watching Woofy’s spatial awareness (or lack of it!) as she tried to navigate around the house… bang bang bang…. hehhee.
    Hope Rosie gets well soon!

Thank you, I think the wallpaper is getting a bashing too – who needs a wallpaper stripper when you have a dog with one of these on.
And it spooks the hell out of the cats!!!!

Can you hear me now? Man this thing really reflects the sun and I’m getting too much of a tan! Have much empathy for that dog.

  • Mark Chapman replied

Rosie says hank you Auntie Barbie.

Hope Rosie gets better soon. She looks great even in the lamp shade. LOL Ed

  • Mark Chapman replied

Thanks Ed. I think things would have got worse very quickly if we hadn’t acted as we did. It’s now just a case of letting the antibiotics do their work. Rosie doesn’t seem to mind though, she has just had a mad dash around the garden!

Glad to hear Rosie is feeling fine. Sometimes a small thing can turn into a bad one if we don’t get it treated quickly. Thanks for letting me know Rosie is okay. Ed

Oh my dear poor Rosie! There should be a law against making any dog wear those things, but yours looks like it’s a flying saucer. Poor baby! That one could have encapsulated your waste line and you still wouldn’t have been able to reach your privates. ;o) I do think a new stuffed toy or sock is in order. Hugs dear sweetie! Get better soon! xo

  • Mark Chapman replied

    Thanks Terri,
She is such a comical mad dog, when she hears an imaginary intruder and rushes through the house, it’s every man for himself to get out of the way of the Lampshade!!
