Monty and Rosie sharing their favourite old chair.
Usually Whoever gets there first claims the chair, but on this occasion, Monty decided to climb on top of Rosie and after cleaning her ear for her (just to be civil) settled down to have a snooze-the dog didn’t move an inch!!
As soon as I saw this I crept out of the room and got the camera and took some shots.

    really cute! and also because they are both black you have to look properly to see them both, i like shots that make you do that. i can see you feel about dogs and cats like i do about horses as well!!

    Thanks Rachel, the old chair is in a bay window so there was a lot of natural light, and of course the sunny position makes it a good chair to doze off to sleep in!

    This picture reminds me of a Newfoundland we had many years ago. We had 2 cats, and they were the best of friends. One of the cats loved to get under the dog’s ear to sleep. Great shot. And thanks for the memory

    Thanks Ann, when I got up this morning Monty was on the chair and it looks like Rosie had to sleep in her bed on the floor all night!
    If he is on the chair Rosie will not make him move off, she just gives up and finds somewhere else to settle down.

    I had a dog & cat that used to do this! We had the cat first, then the dog (both babies). The dog actually thought he was a cat, loved cat food! He was a lab as well. Great shot, Mark – love it! ~:)
