18 × 24″
house paint, paper, marker, fluorescent paint, acrylic, and lacquer on canvas board
2012

This paper cutout has been in my stash of images for over 4 years. I finally realized that it stands on its own and doesn’t need to be paired with anything else. Strange Fruit is also the title of a song by Billie Holiday about lynchings.
