Sugared Skin 3 is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist, Jaeda DeWalt’s, Black and White Emotions series and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. Self-portrait photographed using a digital camera and remote-controlled shutter release. Hair, make-up and styling also created by Jaeda DeWalt.
ABOUT THIS SERIES:
This series was inspired by the song, Echo And The Bunnymen – Lips Like Sugar. I lotioned my body up, glossed my mouth and then poured raw sugar on them. Though i realize, the end result resembles rock salt, more than sugar ;).
I love the way light and shadow carve out the body’s contours, creating a tonal range that appears almost statuesque.
This image is featured in Jaeda’s video, B/W Emotions, an intimate glimpse into Jaeda’s private universe.
