A behind the scenes picture from the cover shoot for Jaeda’s book, Haunting Hands (Jaeda center).

Shooting the cover for my Haunting Hands book proved to be a cathartic and healing experience, as the book i shot this for was one i’d written about surviving childhood sexual abuse.

Image shot with a self-timer and photographed with Kodak CN400 film (black & white film that’s processed in C-41 chemistry).

So many reach, wanting a piece for themselves, to feed on and fill the emptiness of a less passionate life. Yet they are dismayed to find no-one reaching back. This image is beautifully imagined and rendered, and complex in its potential interpretations. Spectacular!

  • Gary, I love the way you unravel my photography, in words… you touched me deeply, thank you :).

There is magic in this portrait Jaeda. This is so senuous, dramatic and evocative. A very deep and thought provoking work that I could look at for a long time. Your vision is original and outstanding and always a pleasure to view.

  • Beautiful Anthea… your comments lift me so high! They reflect your passion for art, love and life. Thank you, my fellow creative and muse :). XO
