I became tangled up
In the satiny threads
Of denial

Tied to the shiny lies
I sold to myself . . .
Told myself

The day arrived when
It was time to pay the price
I tumbling toward
The Red Fall

Horrified as i watched
My fantastical dreams
Collapse into
The ruins of my reality
