Reflections At Stickle Tarn by

On Thursday 2nd June I went with a walk in the lake district national park, Cumbria, England with my youngest son James..
The walk was up the Langdale Pikes..
Started off from the New Dungeon Ghyll pub, up Stickle Ghyll to Stickle tarn..up to Pavey Ark Via Jacks Rake (great Scrambling fun) on to Harrison Stickle and back down Dungeon Ghyll to the car park…(Didn’t have time to fit in Pike Of Stickle)
This is a shot of Stickle Tarn.
Shot with a Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens
CPL fitted.
Manual Exposure
f18
1/60 sec
ISO 200

    Gosh!
Now that is a scramble and a half mate.

Is that what you and James did the other day!
Hats off to you both – looks a little daunting from the video.

What a view from the top though.

Shame you are working or we could have asked if you wanted to come (if you had nothing planned). Hope you get to go somewhere and enjoy the sun after you finish work mate.

Can’t wait for another day out – just can’t take any time off work next week – The week after and count me in please?

Love this shot, just has to be said again.

Yes we will sort something out, really looking forward to another day out mate.
Can’t go next week as my Parents are on holiday and I need to be at work as we will be short on man-power LOL

How did you manage on the scramble then, was it as tough as it looks?

  • That’s fine mate..I understand…
It looks horrendous from the bottom but if you take it easy it can be achieved easily enough..no farting around on the way up though LOL…I reckon you’d love it ,just as much fun as Striding edge, Helvellyn…

Gosh, I wait with baited breath (and jelly legs) LOL
Glad you enjoyed it though, keep them shots coming.

  • I was I dare say a little reluctant at first but James really wanted to do it…
Was a bit scared James might hurt himself…But he was up no problem..It was difficult trying to take shots while hanging on for your life LOL…You might be able to envisage that LOL…
