During our Family holiday in Lanzarote in the Canary islands, we decided to hire some bikes out and travel along the cycle route that stretched along the coast from Los Pocillos to Arrecife and beyond..
I enjoyed this as We got to see some local Lanzarote culture and the Locals doing what they do without the tourists interfering, also got to see some older building such as The San Gabriel Castle and the drawbridge
Info from This site
Arrecife has a small Castle, San Gabriel Castle, constructed originally in 1573 made from wood which lasted until 1586 when it suffered an attack from the sea and was destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt in stone as it stands today, the walls were reinforced and two batteries put on top and a bell tower to sound the alarm when necessary. Also the addition of a drawbridge and cobbled road connecting it to Arrecife, called Puente de las Bolas (Bridge of the Balls) was made. It was so named as it has two columns to hold the drawbridge that have round balls on the top. The castle now contains a museum.

Nice view of these old bridges mate.
This is superb work. A VERY well thought out shot with the bridge in the background being slightly coped by the railing and wall in the foreground. Brilliantly seen and taken.
Excellent shot Jase. Great foreground details and just look how blue that water is! Really great shot mate.
