Declared Winner of #1 ARTISTS OF REDBUBBLE group Landscape Challenge 24th August 2011
Just treated Donna (my wife) and myself to a large framed print of this to hang on my living room wall , can’t wait to receive it..SEE HERE
Went with my wife Donna and two lads for a easy 5 mile walk around the lake of Elterwater in the English lake district national park in Cumbria, yesterday 30th may 2010 and believe it or not I managed, I reckon, 50% sunshine for the whole walk, set off late on the walk about 1650, missed all the traffic and even got a space at the car park at Elterwater.. walked to Sawreys wood which goes along the lane to Little Langdale then turned left toward Wilsons place (farm) , then on to Colwith Force, then on to Skelwith Bridge and then on to Skelwith force, then finally on to Elterwater Which is where this shot was taken in the hour before sunset to finish off the walk with the sun going down over the Langdale pikes…It’s a dead easy walk, I have done a very similar route before with Jamie green, Steve Smith and Alex Bradley, one I could recommend to anyone that wants a bit of everything out of the lake district but doesnt want to do silly miles to get it…
Shot with a Nikon D300 and Sigma 18-200mm OS lens.
25mm
9 shot HDR tonemapped image using Photomatix hdr software and photoshop for finishing off.
