This week I went up to the lake district with good friend and bubbler superstar Shaun Whiteman , Our intentions were to go up to Wasdale/Wastwater in the Western lakes district national Cumbria but being that touch further away from where we live we decided to get a B&B for the night to get a nice early start and not be far away, this wasn’t shot at Wastwater but along the east side of Coniston on our way home…water at dusk… Info from Wikipedia:
Coniston Water (usually simply called Coniston locally) in Cumbria, England is the third largest lake in the English Lake District. It is five miles (8 km) long, half a mile (800 m) wide, has a maximum depth of 184 feet (56 m), and covers an area of 1.89 square miles (4.9 km²). The lake has an elevation of 143 feet (44 m) above sea level. It drains to the sea via the River Crake.

Gorgeous image Jason… Love the reflections and the mist hanging amongst the distant trees… Beautiful work on the mono conversion.
One of my Favs
Thanks Ian, I was really pleased with how this turned out as it had been raining just before, Shaun and I parked up and brought a brolly with us so we could take it in turns to get a few shots but fortunately it stopped raining for a few minutes to take a few shots and the reflections were great even if it was a bit dull but the mono suits it well here, cheers for the encouraging words and fave mate..

The fence is so solid while the mist is so dreamy and mysterious. As highly contrasted as the blacks from the whites! Well-spotted!
Cheers so much Stephanie, really appreciate the fine comments on the shot my friend.
