Today Saturday 23rd January I took my family to South lakes Animal park in Cumbria, just outside the lake district national park near Dalton in furness, it was free to anyone who donated at Least £2 each to the Haiti fund, it is also free tomorrow See here
The weather was not the best, extreme fog, but cleared a little on several occasions….I was hoping to use my 70-300 for most of the day but with poor light I just used my 90mm Tamron macro lens all day, glad I did, got a few nice shots I think.
This one is a shot of a Black and white Ruffed lemur.
Hope you like it…
Info from here
Called the ruffed lemur because of its thick coat, it lives in the eastern rainforests and has one of the loudest voices of any animal for its size.
The explosive barks shatter the peace of the forest and the zoo when they communicate, it can travel over a kilometer through the trees.
And was it noisy!!
Shot with a Nikon D300 and Tamron 90mm macro lens
