The Estuary jewel by

Sold as a greetings card October 2008
Shot from Fleetwood nature reserve on the banks of the river Wyre estuary.
This is one of the, I think about 10 wrecks or abandoned boats not sure which lying on the Fleetwood side of banks of the River Wyre estuary at Fleetwood Lancashire .
Still not sure why there are so many in one spot, perhaps it was a dumping ground for unwanted boats or where boats tended to have got grounded there after a storm and have not been able to have been refloated, not sure, Iand also I do not know there history, had a little look on the web but not found enough info…but in a way I am pleased they are there as they are a fabulous photgraphic spot espescially during sunrise and sunset which is when these shots were taken..
This is why I called this the Estuary jewel, a hidden gem for me..
Shot with a Nikon D70s and 18-70mm lens
