G’day Jason,
This certainly has a stunning effect, all made possible by the striking subject, your extremely good focus, nice tight framing, great exposure, wonderful colours, very nice bokeh and good contrast.
I do feel though that a square crop would give the fantastic optical effect created by that flower more impact.
Very well seen and very well photographed that man!

Hey Jason
- wow great – you and the photo deserve all the praise you are getting -focus, color, depth of field all just perfect- and the flower is too cool -I kind of like Dennis’s suggestion to make a square crop- I think it would look like an exotic planet -very nice – congrats—daveLois Bryan
What a perfect, perfect image … simple and pure … wonderful, exciting background color so perfectly counterbalanced by the color of the flower. Your colorful little bee buddies, happily and busily going about their business add the most perfect finishing touch!!!
Lois Bryan
... ps … don’t crop it!!! I love the long stem .. adds to the simplicity and clean lines of the image.
Jan Bickerton
Fantastic shot, very well done.
I think this flower is an Echinops or Globe thistle, the bees do love them.
