Poetess, Writer, Artist, Photographer, Wife.

I’ve been taking photographs, drawing, writing, assessing reality, and observing the world since childhood.

I don’t believe art can be taught. The basics, mayhaps, but I refuse to allow “teachers” to tell me what colors, angles, styles, etcétera I must use when all they know are their personal opinions about what art should be. I will not sacrifice my soul for the sake of a grade and I did occasionally suffer criticism or a lower grade for that belief.

In reference to my writing, I’m obsessed with language and proper grammatical structure, but I do make mistakes like anyone else and will not be upset with anyone who offers suggestions. I use too many adjectives and tend to ramble, which you’ll notice if you’re still reading this. Gawd, I hope you’re not wasting time reading this. I prefer poetry to prose and reject applying specific styles or structure to it. When asked my poetry genre, I may say it’s either “random,” “poetic,” “free” or “open,” depending upon the first adjective that spirals into the staircase of my mind. Also, I prefer written to spoken, because I hate the sound of my voice and love being able to re-edit before anyone sees my words. I also hate phones, as if that mattered.
