A photographer, well that’s the chosen medium anyway. Capturing light and form is more how I view the work and the process, rather than being a photographer. The play of light and shadow and their contrasts, is clearly evident in a large proportion of my portfolio.

Steadfastly refusing to restrict my subject matter, my “graphical” view of the world around me, often produces unique commonalities in my imagery.

I look around me all the time hoping to see and capture that special light, shadow or composition.

The play of light and shadow, the juxtaposition of colours, textures and shapes are the things that bewitch me. Nature is a huge inspiration, from the grandest and broadest landscapes to the minute detail in a macro, from the light in the sky to shadows on a person’s face.

I hope that I capture some of these things in my work.
