I love the European charm and quaintness of shotgun style shops in NOLA which open into a courtyard on the backside. I found the backlight in this shop enchanting as it framed and spotlighted the artist at her work. The light seems to gently nudge and beckon those of us from the street, not unlike the way art forever gently nudges and beckons the artist from deep within their soul.
This scene was captured with my trusty Panasonic Lumix G2 and converted and slight revisions performed in GIMP.
