Thanks for some more features and a top ten!

Posted about 1 month ago

I’m having a great week on RB and now I’m lucky enough to have some more features. Thank you hosts and also for the voting which put “Edinburgh, St Mary’s Cathedral Spires”
into the top ten of a challenge. It makes up for feeling totally grotty with flu and feeling guilty at not doing something more energetic than sitting in front of my pc playing with photos!

Just got back!

Posted about 1 month ago

We got back last night from a fantastic holiday to India and Nepal but haven’t yet had time to look at the photos – too much dirty laundry to deal with first! I always had an ambition to see the Himalaya and, wow, now I can die happy! Highlights were the Taj Mahal, a brief glimpse of a tiger at Ranthambore, the Aarti ceremony and sunrise over the Ganges at Varanasi, an Everest flight and the in…

Thanks also for a top ten challenge place and several features this week. Now I have a lot of housework to catch up on and a mountain of ironing so I’ll just pop in when I can…...........

Posted 3 months ago

Hi all. My daughter is visiting for a couple of days so I can’t spend much time on bubbling but I just wanted to say thanks for all the comments I haven’t acknowledged yet and I’ll be back in earnest soon!
Oh yes and yippee I sold a card, the first sale for ages and thanks for all the features and some top ten Challenge placings. The splint comes off my broken finger next week so it should be …

New camera and It frightens me to death!!!!

Posted 4 months ago

Having dropped my old Pentax SLR film camera, it seemed a good idea to claim on the insurance policy that we’ve been paying through the nose for for years on a “new for old” basis.
I asked for a replacement camera I could use with my almost new Pentax fit zoom lens and the replacement duly arrived – a Pentax K20D.
It’s horribly complicated and weighs a ton (not good with the broken finger) a…
