Hayley the half-tame blackie

This female blackbird appeared a couple of years ago and was in bad shape so we fed her and she got better. We called her Hayley because she waddles a bit and reminds me of Hayley in Coronation Street. When I’m gardening I hear her nearby sneezing! I think she has hayfever or something!!!! In this shot she is sitting sunbathing on the step outside my back door and couldn’t be bothered to move.

Hayley the half-tame blackie belongs to the following groups:

Great image she obviously trusts you…
I tried to capture a scene from “The Birds” in my back garden today. My hubby had thrown bread out for them this morning; so when the postman knocked I stumbled downstairs. I then bleary eyed wandered into the kitchen & popped the kettle on for a cuppa tea.
To my delight loads of blackbirds, sparrows & a couple of rooks were lined up on my fence & descending dive bomber style onto the gravel for all the lovely dew soaked bread. It made me smile, unfortunately I managed only a couple of shots to catch but a couple of birds…Fab x ;)

We get that “The Birds” scenario with seagulls. Can be quite scary if they get really enthusiastic!!

Thanks for the fave Mar. She is outside the door waiting to be fed quite often but I don’t oblige, unless it’s cold, because there’s plenty of “rreal” food around.
