Oh my goodness, Jacky … this is one of those shots that I’d give an eye-tooth to take!!!! Do you need any eye-teeth by any chance?? LOL!!! Truly perfect … outstanding detail on your little bee … and look at the delicate colors in these flowers … are they lily of the valley?? OOO!! LOVE it!!! Had to fave!!!!!
Jacky Parker replied
Lol! Lois, thank you so much, it is Sicilian honey garlic sold as Allium bulgaricum, a great little perennial for attracting wildlife :)

I love how sharp and beautiful your bee images look. I have also just fallen in love with Sicilian garlic – this and your other images. I’ve never seen this plant before, and it means now that I have to go hunting for it for my garden, lol!
Jacky Parker
Thank you Sarah-fiona, it’s easy to get hold off, it is in fact a bulb planted at the end of the year, most garden centres sell it as Alium bulgaricum but its true name is Nectaroscordum, it spreads nicely in an herbaceous border and the bees love it! :)
Antanas
