When I lay myself down

maybe one day, maybe then
I will see you in the street
looking only my way
and walking only to me
with a ‘I am here to stay’

maybe one day, maybe then
you will take my hand
and send shivers unto me
with just a gentle exhale
setting my soul finally free

maybe one day, maybe then
we will feel in the now
a too good to be true
a shudder and shake
a letting go inside you

but until then….

I will lie on my bed
close my eyes
and pray
that I find you tonight
in the moments of my dream
where you are mine
and I am yours…
