The red, cast iron South Haven lighthouse was built in 1902 and remains an active aid to navigation. It is located at the end of the harbor pier…on the shores of Lake Michigan in South Haven, Michigan (USA).

I am a retired high school English teacher living in northeast Ohio with a particular interest in photographing lighthouses. As I write this, I have photographed 184 lighthouses…at least one on each of the Great Lakes plus numerous Atlantic Coast lights from Maine to North Carolina. My primary camera is a Canon Digital Rebel XSi…and I use either a Canon Powershot G12 or a Canon Powershot SX120 as backup.
