The original Annisquam Harbor light station was established in the early 1800s near Rockport, Massachusetts; the present forty-one foot tower and attached workroom were built in 1897. Photo was taken in September 2010.
This is one of my favorite lighthouse “finds” – and you’ve captured it beautifully!
I’m delighted…thanks, Monica.
Beautiful colors and composition.
Thanks for commenting…much appreciated.
What a great shot. Instant Fave. (Darts! I missed that one when I was in the area. <grin>)
It’s sort of “out of the way” and not so easily spotted. We wandered quite a while before we found it. Thanks for the comment…much appreciated.
Lovely picture. I was in that area last summer but couldn’t seem to get anywhere close to this particular lighthouse. Good job!
Hard to find…down a number of side roads…thanks for the comment.
Great shot Jack!! Love the great colours and framing mate – well done! I noticed you have a real passion for lighthouses Jack – if your ever over here in ‘down under’, there’s some fascinating and truly stunning lighthouses to capture!
Thanks, Matt…I’ve looked at photos of your lighthouse and would love to shoot them…distance, however, will probably prevent that from happening. I appreciate the comment!
Jack, your lighthouses are magnificent images!!!!!! I especially love the composition and light in this one!!!! Magic!!!
Thank you so much, Lois. I really appreciate your comment. I have photographed 185 lights so far…and this photo is one of my favorites.
Very nice entry, Jack.
