The Angels' Share belongs to the following groups:

Flash Fiction

Friar Jacques checked the barrel to see if the thief had come in the night. He sighed and looked to the heavens. “Why? Why would someone steal our wine… a small amount from each barrel?”

They posted guards at the door, but after a long day laboring in the vineyard, the guards fell asleep, and the thief came.

So Friar Jacques gathered the monks to do what monks do best. They prayed for heavenly guardians.

The monks prayed all day. The angels watched all night. Friar Jacques checked the barrels again and announced that their prayers had been answered. Hallelujah!

But the angels required payment: a small share of wine… from each barrel.
