As far as I know they are Crested Pigeons and are native to Australia – as kids we used to call them Topknots but I believe this may be inaccurate :-)

Love the moon! And love those wierd little pigeons that have those things on their heads like antennas! They fascinate me for some reason. Maybe because all the usual pigeons are so dirty looking and plain. But cute in their own way, i’,m not hatin’ on pigeons!
Anyway, what I mean to say is I really like this piece and wish I had one at home.
