Today was a beautiful rain filled day.

god how I love the rain.
the smell of newly fallen rain,
just really does it for me, ya know.
I’m feeling raw tonight.
bare down to the bones.
I wandered off today….just needed to feel freedom.
escape the ghosts.
i ended up in Big Sur.
the magic of that place is such strong medicine…….
i climbed down over the cliffs, thru the fog & rain…..
and landed on sand dollar beach.
it seemed to stretch on & on,
the most beautiful emptiness I have ever layed my eyes on……
the wind, the cold, cold wetness, that familiar fog…….
it brought me to my knees and I wished for it all to swallow me whole.
i wept with the rain,
my tears becoming one with it’s very power,
i danced in the arms of the wind howling around me.
chanting & waling………….
i felt wild & free…
connected, embraced, full……
until i could no longer breathe,
falling,
falling,
giving in to the burning in my lungs….
and i just lie there inhaling,
exhaling,
inhaling,
exhaling………
hearing only…
waves crashing,
crashing,
crashing ………..
