Flatwood Preserve Pine Island FL by

NikonD90 f/22 1/60sec Nikkor DX 18-105mm lens

The Flatwood Preserves on Pine Island are land trusts that consist of ecosystems that are controlled to protect the native species of plants and animals that are indigenous to the area. The preserves date back to the time of the Caloosa Indian tribes that populated the area. These are great hiking areas and provide an abundance of photographic opportunties.
