Eucalyptus Pulverulenta by

This plant is commonly known as the Silver-leaved Mountain Gum. I really like the chalky-blue-silver coating on the leaves and the narrow red stripes around their edges. Spiral staircases and boat propellors come to mind, and there’s a pleasing quiet rhythm to the alternating pairs of leaves. I find this photo to be very calming.

    I think this plant is a sacred smoking ceremony plant for the Indigenous Aboriginal Australians.

    they are also much bluer over here, maybe the soil is different.
