Artist's Description

‘And on its Heads the Name of Blasphemy’ is the result of an audio ritual improvised on the 16th of March, 2010, for an upcoming vinyl split with Black Mountain Transmitter, on the Left (field) Recordings label. This is the accompanying image. (Probably NOT the image that will be eventually used for the split, but just an accompanying image GRIST created because the urge took him.)

GRIST is A Demon Sheen’s ritualistic shamanic sound-collage black drone project – no instruments, no composition – where all the sounds are found sounds and all the images are found images.

He makes these sounds by running various CDs through guitar pedals (delays, loops, distortions) and creating layered waves of emotional evocative real-time ceremonies and soundscapes of the Collective Unconscious.

For each Gristian Ritual that he creates, A Demon Sheen creates an accompanying image. These are ALL DIGITAL COLLAGES from found images collected from around the United Cultural Archive we call the ‘internet’.
