This is a slightly expressionistic (or impressionistic? all this labels are confusing…) view of Montreal at night, viewed from the Champlain Bridge, in the summer. Painted on a 18 × 24 inches canvas with acrylics. Now, in a private collection, Montreal.

I like the Van Gogh influence here.
Thanks for your comment, Donna! In fact I am (WE are!) a lot luckier than Vincent who was always complaining about oil drying too slow! Imagine Van Gogh with acrylics and acrylic gels and stuff! I am 99% sure he would have LOVED acrylics!

Absolutely stunning, vibrant and love your use of colours here xxx
Thank you, Cherie! A (mostly) French metropolis like Montreal should not be unfamiliar to you, having such a french name!

Oh now .. everything I can think to say about this is happily crude. Like “Frigging awesome!” So, you’ll have to forgive me and accept it as a good thing. I’d be proud to be either painter or owner of this beauty!
I’m blushihg, Arletta (I do that often)! You can try to paint one and I can try to paint you a remake! (could be even better than the first since I gained some experience…) Whatever you want!

mmmm … how about I draw or digitally paint one – of whatever comes out – you paint it on real canvas and add your own touches, send me a digital image of it, and then you sell it as a collaborative work, take whatever out for materials, split the profits 50/50 and mail me a money order?
Actually, I sort of did that, but, with my own thing. Uploaded a crayon drawing I did, altered it, turned it into a canvas print, then painted over most of it, using it as a pattern. Never quite got finished with it, but, it’s been fun.
