Bloggers’ Bliss — See our streetwear come to life
Featured in Artist on Facebook group. An old photo in the style of Caravaggio (jocking!)…but then this emerging of the eyes from the darkness can be backdated to him or even better, to Rembrandt and Leonardo… It works well in photography, too…

Beautiful shadow and light, yes – a wonderful rendition of Chiaroscuro. Beautiful and innocent portrait. Cat:)
Thanks, Cat:)! Beautiful and innocent it was, not any more… Like most of the things in life, growing older, uglier, sadder… But it’s ok. I took a picture and it stay, for a moment, beautiful and innocent.
Excellent shot, Ion. I haven’t seen very often the chiaroscuro used in photography, but when properly used it can give impressive results, like in this case.
Thanks, Vasile. Multzumesc. I always prefered natural light for portraits (flash light flattens everything, no mystery, no real contrast, no nothing…good for police work, maybe, but I don,t remember to see a really good shot with flash light except documentary…) This one was done almost in the shadow, with a 1.8 diafragm.
LOVE IT !!!
Glad you like it, Guendalyn!
Beautiful light! Beautiful portrait!
Thanks, Tori! It’s rare but sometimes you get to meet the condition: a interesting model, a good light, an expression that deserves to be immortalized, maybe…
stunning black and white!!
Thanks you, Heather! The sweet child in the photo is now a filmmaker who smokes too much (and not only cigarettes) and makes horror films… Oh, tempora, oh, mores!
I,m very honored, Scott! Thanks!
