The brilliant scarlet flowers of a grafted Corymbia Ficifolia or Red Flowering Gum display impressively against the backdrop of the green eucalypt leaves. The ficifolia is a Western Australian native suited to sandy soils however due to its impressive flowering habit many hybrids have been produced and grafted to sturdier eucalypt stock. It is becoming an popular small ornamental native tree.
