Bursaria spinosa var. spinosa
Sweet Bursaria or Blackthorn can form dense shrubby thickets (3-4 m) and/or grow into quite impressive small trees (6+m). flowering from December to March they are a prolific and valuable food source for many indigenous insects (and unfortunately bees which tend to out-compete them for nectar).
