Male Purple Finches are colorful, being described as having raspberry, pink, red, purple, wine or rose tints to its feathers. The female is not colorful, yet still very striking with her distinct markings and an overall olive green tint.

Taken at, 1/200’s at f/8, – 1/3 EV, 365mm, iso 500, man white bal. Sliver cropped from right side and no additional sharpening via default set in Lightroom4.
