A Coyote trots by while on the hunt. A Coyote’s diet mainly consists of small mammals such as voles, mice, gophers, squirrels and small birds. When given the opportunity, Coyotes will also prey on calves and fawns shortly after birth. Coyotes will also feed on already killed carrion by wolves or other natural causes.
