A Bull Elk had just finished putting the chase on an other Bull Elk close to his own size. He comes to a stop and is on the look out in case other Bulls decide to move into his territory. When I took this photo, this Bull had a nice small herd of cows. Since leaving Yellowstone, I often wonder whether he has managed to keep his herd.
